Well, I am officially a BLOGGER! Ok, well, here's my first attempt at this, and I will start by just writing about my day. After almost a year after losing Sunny, our beautiful Golden Retreiver, we adopted a new puppy today. We went out to the Lagrange Animal shelter and walked through aisle, and all the sad longing eyes of the dogs there. It seriously took all my control to not just take most of those sweet dogs home. I could most definitely become an animal hoarder someday.
So, we went out back and looked in the puppy pen, and there he was... a black and white hound mix of some sort. He was laying down on his tummy with his little back legs stretched out behind him, just lookin pretty chill.
The lady commented that he was super sweet, but not necessarily the smartest dog out there. He's the one!! I needed a sweet, submissive and not real smart dog, to be a companion for Butters the Diva.
Butters, our black Mexican street dog, has been living a very priveledged life, and she is quite precious. So any threat, perceived or real, is bad. This little doofus is the perfect guy!
We got him home and decided he looked like a chill southern/hillbilly kind of hound dog. The kind that will end up being a dog/rug someday, barely moving from his sleepy state. We named him Jesco, in honor of the tap-dancing hillbilly guy from the "Wild Wonderful Whites of West VA"
Jesco does not come when he's called yet, he did not really understand the whole concept of a leash, and so far when we've taken him outside, he just lays down and scratches himself and relaxes. hmmmmmm He's also already chewed up Kurt's new nerf ball.
Honestly, what was I thinking?
Well, that's going to be the blog for tonight. Perhaps tomorrow I will write what I had tried to write today. I blogged for almost 30 minutes on what I thought was a hilarious diatribe about the BMV. But being a computer-tard, I didn't have it in the right place and it didn't save. Soo, you're all stuck hearing about Jesco instead.
